Trains run from Penn Station in New York City to the East End each day but the number of trips per day is limited. The LIRR offers Hampton Reserve seating on weekends in season and trains are added for major events. Shuttles are available from JFK Airport.

Cross Sound Ferry:

This ferry offers service for passengers and their vehicles from New London, Connecticut to Orient Point, the easternmost point on the North Fork. The ferry provides a pleasant means of travel for New Englanders to the area. High Speed service is also provided to the casinos in Ct. from Orient, the tip of the North Fork. Reservations are a must.

Bridgeport and Port Jefferson Ferry:

Depending on your point of origin in New England, you may elect to use this ferry to avoid the traffic around the metropolitan area. Port Jefferson is approximately 1 hour from Riverhead. Reservations are a must in season.
