The first impression your guests will have of your event will come from the invitations they receive. If they are on fine handmade paper with hand written calligraphy, they tell your guests that the event is going to be special indeed. Printing styles vary, and you will want to be advised about raised print, laser printing, and ink-jet methods. Many paper companies provide templates and you may elect to print your own invitations. You may also need programs, menus, table place cards, or direction cards. Your paper supplier or your printer can help you with all of this. The East End has many talented artists providing unique talent for custom designed print material, and if you can't find it in New York City, it most likely doesn't exist.
